A design-led aperitivo moment in pinks, whites, and warm gold — bright, modern, and quietly memorable. Built around a mezcal-based Mexican aperitif and paired with almond-studded dark chocolate and polished tools to mix, pour, and serve with ease.

Flavor & pairing notes
Xila’s balanced heat and botanicals open up with bubbles (try tonic or sparkling wine) or citrus; the almond-laced 70% cacao adds texture and a gentle nutty finish; the hammered-gold tools keep the serve elevated without fuss.

Mood & palette
Rosy pinks, soft whites, and luminous gold — a twilight palette that turns pre-dinner drinks into a small celebration (no pomp, just presence).

Why it works
Each element amplifies the next: a contemporary Mexican aperitif with character, clean dark chocolate for contrast, and refined tools to make it effortless — a cohesive, design-forward gift that feels personal without guesswork.

XILA

Xila (pronounced shi-lah) takes its name from the Zapotec word for “woman,” a nod to the brand’s mission and the people behind it. Crafted in Mexico City at Flor de Luna—the city’s first women-led artisanal distillery—Xila is an independent Mexican aperitif that celebrates contemporary Mexico through flavor and ritual.

Made with Espadín agave from Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, it brings together a profile of seven ingredients: lavender and hibiscus on the nose; clove, black pepper, and cinnamon at the center; and a base of caramelised pineapple and ancho chile, offering gentle sweetness and a lightly spiced finish. At 20% ABV, it is designed to be enjoyed neat, over ice, or in lower-ABV cocktails.

Following the “rule of seven”—seven days of maceration, seven days of resting, and seven rounds of filtration—the result is an aperitif that is smooth, balanced, and subtly spicy.

Behind Flor de Luna is Hillhamn Salomé, whose practice brings together botanical exploration, craft, and a strong commitment to creating more space for women in the spirits industry.
